Plot

A prequel and sequel to Vishwaroopam,[N 1][11] RAW Agent Major Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri is given the task to eliminate Al-Qaeda member Omar Qureshi and his fellow jihadis, who plan to attack New York City.[12]

Wisam and his team travel to the UK to perform the final rites of their colleague Dawkins. Nirupama gets jealous of Ashmita's closeness with Wisam and asks her how both are related. Wisam recalls his days in Indian Army where he finds young, enthusiastic and brave young lady officer Ashmita in a parade and award ceremony. Wisam and Colonel Jagannath together finalize Ashmita for their project, and she is trained by Wisam. Wisam was chosen for the mission as he is an illegitimate son of a Pakistani and his mother is an Indian woman. Wisam and Ashmita create an impression that she is raped by him, and Wisam is jailed for 10 years for having an affair with an army woman failing to his duties. Wisam is imprisoned but subsequently escapes from the prison with the help of Jagannath. Wisam is now stamped as a wanted militant and he along with Lieutenant Roy alias Imtiaz set for their mission to join Omar's group.

Coming back to current, Wisam, Nirupama, Ashmita and Jagannath are received by Goswami, their fellow army officer, under the instructions of his superior Eshwar Iyer. On their way in the car to handover Dawkins' mortal remains to his family, they are attacked by a group of militants, and their car gets into a fatal accident. While Nirupama, Ashmita, and Jagannath are trapped in the car, Wisam is thrown out. Wisam and his team are further tracked down by a militant, and he engages in a duel to stop him and subsequently kills him. Goswami succumbs to the accident and dies happily seeing his enemy's face which used to be his wish as an army officer.

Wisam faints and is immersed in the flashback of his final encounter with Omar. Wizam and Imtiaz work together to take down the terrorist group. Though Jagannath trusts Wisam completely, his senior officer Seshadri is suspicious of Wisam, and he never conceals his suspicion of Wisam's loyalty to India. Wisam tries to place a locator to give the coordinates of the Al Qaeda's prime leader Osama to the NATO troops. Omar catches Wisam red-handed and tries to shoot him, which kills Imtiaz. Wisam escapes from Omar and signals flares for the fighter choppers. Wisam is shot heavily, and the army soldiers take him to the hospital, where he is saved eventually.

Back to the current, all the accident victims reach their hotel, where they are received by Eshwar. Eshwar and Wisam engage in an argument for killing the terrorist instead of catching him. Eshwar taunts Wisam with his religion, but Wisam says he is a proud Muslim who is willing to sacrifice his life for his country. Eshwar leaves the place angrily. Wisam and Ashmita scan the room for bugging devices and eventually break one into pieces and ask Eshwar not to try anything with them. Wisam and Nirupama get into a romantic scene but are interrupted by a call for a meeting with Jagannath, Eshwar, and an ISI agent who turns out to be Munnavar. Wisam suspects Eshwar's hand in the terrorist attack on them. Wisam, Ashmita, and Nirupama leave to scan a building along with an ISI agent in a place outside the city. Wisam and Eshwar engage in a phone call during Wisam's visit to the building to search for bombs. Eshwar insists Wisam to leave the building, but Wisam disobeys. Wisam actually left the building but pretends to have got trapped inside the building. Eshwar triggers a bomb from his cell phone and is quite happy that Wisam is killed. However, Munnavar informs that Wisam is alive, and he escapes the scene. Wisam threatens Eshwar that he has revealed himself and he would hunt him down at any cost. Eshwar commits suicide by self-shooting.

The team finds a book on tides receding timing, and they trace a 65-year flashback of how 1500 tons of weapons sent by America during the Second World War helped British troops got sunk under the sea near the London shore and how militants are trying to blow the cesium weapons underwater creating a tsunami, which can immerse London 10 to 16 meters below sea level. Nirupama dives underwater to examine the intensity of the Tsunami triggered. Wisam's acquaintance Jim is killed by a militant, and Wisam tracks him down who tries to blast the 1500-ton bomb underwater. Wisam succeeds in stopping him by killing him.

The team reaches Delhi, and Jagannath is called alone by his senior for debriefing. Wisam, Nirupama, and Ashmita reach their rooms to have rest. Nirupama gets angry on seeing Ashmita and Wisam sleeping in the same bed. She angrily leaves to a nearby coffee shop, where she overhears Jagannath's debriefing session with his senior Seshadri. Jagannath and Seshadri argue on Nirupama's role in the team. Seshadri asks him to get rid of her, but Jagannath refuses as Wisam loves her more than anything and that they are supposed to respect his feelings. Nirupama is moved by Wisam's love. She returns to him, and the two make love. Nirupama and Wisam later go to meet Wizam's mother, who is an Alzheimer's patient living in a care home. Wisam's mother could not recognize her own son but is always lamenting looking at the childhood photos of her son. Wisam feels very sad and happy simultaneously and gets emotional with his mother. He recalls his days with her during their Kathak sessions.

Ashmita and Nirupama are kidnapped by Salim. Ashmita tries to knock him down, but he kills her and sends her chopped body to Wisam. Wisam goes to Omar to free Nirupama. Wisam begs Omar to spare Nirupama, but Omar refuses as Wisam was the reason behind the death of his family members during the NATO attack. Wisam tells that his wife, son, and nephew are alive. He explains to him that he handed over them to NATO to be taken to a safe haven. Omar insists on killing Wisam but pretends to spare Nirupama. Nirupama is taken to Daryaganj, where Wisam's mother too has been kept as hostage. Omar plants a bomb on Wisam's neck with a 40-second timer. Nirupama gets devastated on seeing the bomb blast from Daryaganj. Salim tells her that to celebrate 64 years of Indian Independence, they have planted 64 bombs which would blast by an SMS. Wisam shatters the window from outside and kills Salim. A short flashback shows how Wisam escaped the bombing in a few seconds knocking everyone down and how the bomb blast burnt Omar alive. Wisam instructs his men to stop the mass bombing.

In the hospital, Wisam shows Omar's sons to Omar while Omar dies. At the end, Wisam, with Nirupama Walks out of the hospital.

Plot

Sree is an innocent and fun loving IT employee from Chennai who lives with his parents. He has a crush on Sindhuja a beautiful and independent modern day girl who works in the office opposite to his. Sindhuja, eventually joins Sree's office and invites him to hangout with her at the club to which Sree happily agrees. At the club, he realises, Sindhu drinks alcohol, swears freely and is a complete party girl. He comes to know of the surprising fact that Sindhu doesn't know her own birthday because nobody except her mom knew it and her mom died when she was very young. Over time they become good friends and Sree falls head over heels in love with her.

One day the duo get stuck in an elevator and end up kissing instinctively. Sindhuja brings Sree home and they have sex after which Sree confesses his love for Sindhuja. To his shock, she rejects him saying that they are only good friends and insists that she does not love him. She refers to their sex as a casual indulgence whereupon Sree leaves her house in complete disgust. Sindhuja constantly tries to pacify him and Sree finally gives in, agreeing to continue being friends with her and begin to hang out like before. At a party, Sindhu tries to get intimate with a drunk Sree but he gets upset and shouts at her for merely using him and criticizes her character. He also reveals to everyone that he had sex with Sindhuja, making her angry. Sindhu confesses that now she also loves Sree but is disheartened by his behavior and mindset, thus ending the party on an unpleasant note.

Sree seeks the help of the local tailor Thangaraj and his colleague Satish and attempts to reconcile with Sindhuja. He joins the dance classes conducted by Sindhu's father and eventually they patch up. As per Sindhu's wish they decide to begin a live in relationship without the knowledge of Sree's parents since they would clearly disapprove of the idea. Sree makes a plan for his daily routine, to keep his parents oblivious of his relationship and moves into a rented house near his home with Sindhu. While Sindhu starts becoming slightly aggressive, Sree continues to steer the boat of their relationship. One night, when Sindhu is moody and irksome, Sree takes her out and reveals to her that it is her birthday and tells her that he had traced it out after a lot of difficulty. Sindhu is extremely touched and her aggressiveness comes to an end.

Sree constantly tries to talk Sindhu into agreeing for their marriage but she sternly refuses since she wants to achieve her dream of opening a restaurant in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Sree's mother is hell bent on finding a good bride for him which puts Sree in a complete dilemma. Sindhu's father invites the couple for his dance show but Sree's mother falls sick and he comes in late for the show, making Sindhu upset. At the show, he pesters her about their marriage citing his mother's ill health as his imminent reason to soon marry. When Sindhu refuses to budge, he decides to break up with her for his mother's sake and to marry a girl, that his parents fix an alliance with.

A day before his marriage, Sindhu turns up at his home to bid him goodbye before leaving Chennai. The two part with heavy hearts. On the day of his wedding, while Sindhu's father is driving her to the airport he confesses about how he did not acknowledge Sindhu's mother's love for him and how he regretted it after she died and asks Sindhu not to make the same mistake. Suddenly Sindhu realises she has to stop the marriage and rushes back to Sree's wedding avenue only to realize that the wedding is over and she turns to leave in tears.

Three years later Sindhu has opened her dream restaurant. She eventually comes to know that Sree is getting a divorce. Sindhu's father visits Sree's parents and tells about his daughter's love for Sree, while Sree's parents lament over his failed marriage. Sree's wife had got an abortion, as revenge for an argument which Sree won. Sree's mother accepts the fact that happy live in relationships are better than unhappy marriages. Suddenly, Sree's parents and Sindhu's father realize that both of them have been missing for three days and wonder where they are. The film ends as Sree and Sindhu are seen having sex secretly as their parents call them. Their mindsets are shown to have reversed as Sree now wants a live-in relationship but Sindhu prefers marriage.

Plot

Shortly after the events of Jurassic World in 2015,[a] a small mercenary team arrives on the abandoned Isla Nublar island to collect DNA from the Indominus rex remains lying on the bottom of the park's lagoon. After collecting a bone, the team's survivors escape the island following attacks by the Mosasaurus and the Tyrannosaurus rex, but they accidentally release the former into the ocean.

In 2018, a U.S. Senate hearing in Washington, D.C., debates whether Isla Nublar's dinosaurs should be saved from an impending volcanic eruption. Mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm testifies that the dinosaurs should be allowed to die to correct John Hammond wrongfully cloning them. Meanwhile, Jurassic World's former operations manager, Claire Dearing, has established the Dinosaur Protection Group to save the animals. After the Senate rules against rescuing the animals, Hammond's former partner, Sir Benjamin Lockwood, summons Claire to his Northern California estate. Lockwood and his aide, Eli Mills, reveal a plan to relocate the dinosaurs to a new island sanctuary. Claire is needed to reactivate the park's dinosaur tracking system to locate the animals, particularly Blue, the last surviving Velociraptor. Though they are now estranged, Claire recruits Owen Grady, Jurassic World's former Velociraptor trainer, to help capture her.

On Isla Nublar, Claire and former park technician Franklin Webb reactivate the online tracking system. Owen, paleo-veterinarian Zia Rodriguez, and a mercenary team led by Ken Wheatley, track and find Blue. The encounter escalates, resulting in Blue being shot and Wheatley tranquilizing Owen. Wheatley then abandons Owen, Claire, and Franklin on the island while forcibly taking Zia hostage to treat Blue. The mercenary ship, loaded with captured dinosaurs, departs for the U.S. mainland as the remaining dinosaurs are left behind to die in the eruption. Claire, Franklin, and Owen sneak aboard the ship and help Zia transfuse Blue with Tyrannosaurus blood. The group realize that the captured dinosaurs are being transported to an unidentified location for an unknown purpose.

At the estate, Lockwood's orphaned granddaughter Maisie overhears Mills and auctioneer Mr. Eversoll secretly planning to auction the captured dinosaurs on the black market. They will also preview the Indoraptor, a weaponizedtransgenic dinosaur created by geneticist Dr. Henry Wu using Indominus rex and Velociraptor DNA. Wu needs Blue's DNA to create an enhanced Indoraptor that is obedient to commands, unaware that Blue's blood has been contaminated. After Maisie informs Lockwood about the auction, he confronts Mills, who murders him. Maisie is later revealed to have been cloned from Lockwood's deceased daughter and to be the reason why John Hammond, who opposed human cloning, ended their association.

The dinosaurs are transported to Lockwood's estate, where several are auctioned and shipped out. Franklin evades capture and frees Zia, but Owen and Claire are apprehended. Owen incites a Stygimoloch into breaking open their cell. The two encounter Maisie, and they learn the Indoraptor is being sold despite Wu's protests that it is a prototype. Owen disrupts the proceedings by luring the Stygimoloch into the room. In the ensuing chaos, Wheatley tranquilizes the Indoraptor to extract a tooth as a trophy, but the hybrid, having merely feigned unconsciousness, kills Wheatley, Eversoll, and others as it escapes. The Indoraptor then hunts Owen, Claire, and Maisie throughout the mansion until Zia releases Blue, who fights the Indoraptor. Atop a high glass roof, both animals crash through it, killing the Indoraptor and leaving Blue unharmed.

When a hydrogen cyanide gas leak threatens the caged dinosaurs, Maisie frees them, despite Owen's objections. As Mills attempts to flee with the Indominus rex bone, the Tyrannosaurus rex devours him and tramples the bone. Owen, Claire, Maisie, Zia, and Franklin escape, while Blue and the other released dinosaurs flee the estate grounds.

In a new U.S. Senate hearing, Dr. Malcolm declares the beginning of a Neo-Jurassic Age, where humans and dinosaurs must coexist. The closing scenes depict the freed dinosaurs roaming wilderness and outer urban areas.

Speaking of his character's actions over the course of the film, Spall said, "Ambition is such a powerful emotion, you can get wrapped up in it and end up doing things in order to succeed. Plot

After fighting organized crime as the mercenary Deadpool for two years, Wade Wilson fails to kill one of his targets on his anniversary with Vanessa, his girlfriend. That night, after the pair decides to start a family together, the target tracks Wade down and inadvertently kills Vanessa. Wade kills all of his men in revenge, before pulling them both into the path of an oncoming truck. He blames himself for Vanessa's death and attempts to commit suicide six weeks later by blowing himself up. Wade has a vision of Vanessa in the afterlife, but the pieces of his body remain alive and are put back together by Colossus. Wade is left with only a Skee-Ball token, an anniversary gift, as a final memento of Vanessa.

Recovering at the X-Mansion, Wade reluctantly agrees to join the X-Men because he believes Vanessa would have wanted him to. He, Colossus, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead respond to a standoff between authorities and the unstable young mutant Russell Collins / Firefist at an orphanage, labeled a "Mutant Re-education Center". Wade realizes that Russell has been abused by the orphanage staff, and kills one of the staff members. Colossus stops him from killing anyone else, and both Wade and Russell are arrested. Restrained with collars that suppress their powers, they are taken to the Ice Box, an isolated prison for mutant criminals. Meanwhile, Cable — a cybernetic soldier from the future — travels back in time to kill Russell.

Cable breaks into the Ice Box and attacks Russell. Wade, whose collar breaks in the ensuing melee, attempts to defend Russell. After Cable takes Vanessa's token, Wade forces himself and Cable out of the prison, but not before Russell overhears Wade deny that he cares for the young mutant in order to protect him. Near-death again, Wade has another vision of Vanessa in which she convinces him to help Russell. Wade organizes a team called X-Force to break Russell out of a prison-transfer convoy and defend him from Cable. The team launches its assault on the convoy by parachute, but all of the members die during the landing except for Wade and the lucky Domino. While they fight Cable, Russell frees fellow inmate the Juggernaut, who agrees to help Russell kill the abusive orphanage headmaster. The Juggernaut destroys the convoy and rips Wade in half, allowing himself and Russell to escape.

While recovering, Cable offers to work with Wade and Domino to stop Russell from killing the headmaster — in the future, Russell has become a serial killer as a result of the incident, having burned Cable's family alive — agreeing to give Wade a chance to talk Russell down. At the orphanage, they are overpowered by the Juggernaut while Wade attacks the headmaster until Colossus — who had at first refused to help Wade due to Wade's murderous ways — arrives to distract the Juggernaut. When Wade fails to talk down Russell, Cable shoots at the young mutant. Wade leaps in front of the bullet while wearing the Ice Box collar and dies, reuniting with Vanessa in the afterlife. Seeing this sacrifice, Russell does not kill the headmaster; this changes the future so that Cable's family now survives. Cable uses the last charge on his time-traveling device, which he needed for returning to his family, to go back several minutes and strap Vanessa's token in front of Wade's heart. Now when Wade takes the bullet for Russell, it is stopped by the token and both survive while Russell still has his change of heart. Afterward, the headmaster is run over by Wade's taxi-driver friend Dopinder.

In a mid-credits sequence, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her girlfriend Yukio repair Cable's time-traveling device for Wade. He uses it to save the lives of Vanessa and X-Force member Peter, and kills both X-Men Origins: Wolverine's version of Deadpool and actor Ryan Reynolds while he is considering starring in the film Green Lantern.

Cast

  • Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson / Deadpool:
A wisecracking mercenary with accelerated healing but severe scarring over his body after undergoing an experimental regenerative mutation.[3] He forms the X-Force, a team of mutants,[4] after finding himself at his "lowest point" at the beginning of the film.[5] The film makes several references to Deadpool's pansexuality after the first film was criticized for ignoring it.[6] As a co-writer on the film, Reynolds ad-libbed much of his dialogue throughout the production process.[7] For the film's mid-credits sequence, archive footage of Reynolds portraying Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine is used, and Reynolds also portrays himself before he acted in the film Green Lantern.[8]
  • Josh Brolin as Cable:
time-traveling cybernetic soldier, "in many ways the opposite of Deadpool".[9] Director David Leitch called the dynamic between Cable and Deadpool "sort of classic buddy-cop fare", and compared them to the characters portrayed by Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy, respectively, in 48 Hrs. (1982).[10] Leitch added that the character as written in the script was mostly just an "action character", and he relied on Brolin to add nuance to the role and explore the character's internal pain to avoid it becoming a caricature.[11] Brolin signed a four-film deal to play the character,[9] and described his appearance here as just the introduction for the character, with "three more movies to reveal more".[12]
  • Morena Baccarin as Vanessa:
Wilson's fiancée.[13] The character is killed at the beginning of the film in an example of "fridging"—the killing of a female character to forward the development of a male character. This happens to Cable's wife and daughter as motivation for his story arc as well. Leitch and the writers said they were unaware of the term "fridging", and that they were not being "consciously sexist". Earlier versions of the film simply had Vanessa breaking up with Wilson, but the writers wanted to use the opportunity to "engender great suffering for him by having his line of work be the thing that costs Vanessa her life". They were also more comfortable with the deaths due to the increased number of strong female characters in the film, and because the deaths are reversed by the end of the film with time travel; screenwriter Rhett Reese stated, "Maybe that's a sexist thing. I don't know. And maybe some women will have an issue with that. I don't know. I don't think that that'll be a large concern, but it didn't even really occur to us."[5] Baccarin said she trusted the storyline was necessary for the film, and emphasized the fact that Vanessa is saved at the end of the film.[14]
  • Julian Dennison as Russell Collins / Firefist:
A young mutant with pyrokinesis who is being hunted by Cable.[15][16] Reynolds insisted on casting Dennison after seeing him in Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016),[16] with the character "tailor-made" for him, and no other actors considered for the role.[10] The character is considered a villain for much of the film,[17] which Leitch thought was an "interesting take on the whole angle of the villain".[10] Dennison felt the role was particularly special because, being "chubby", he would watch superhero films and "never see anyone like me. I am excited to be that for other kids who look like me."[18]
  • Zazie Beetz as Domino:
A mercenary with the mutant ability to manipulate luck,[20][21] who joins Deadpool's X-Force team.[22] Leitch described the film's version of the character as Beetz' own "real fun interesting take",[10] with the actress interpreting the character as an only child who forms a "sibling sort of relationship" with Deadpool, with "that back-and-forth banter where she is not dealing with his".[23] Beetz began "working out everyday" when she got the role, which required her to shoot guns and use "full body" physicality,[24] and chose not to shave her armpits to match the changing perception of the practice among the general public and to prove that it is "not something that is gross or shameful".[25]
  • T.J. Miller as Weasel:
Wilson's best friend and the owner of a bar frequented by mercenaries.[26]
  • Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead:
A teenage X-Man with the mutant power to detonate atomic bursts from her body,[27] she is now a "new level of X-Men" after being a trainee in the first film.[28] Hildebrand felt that "it's cool that she's grown and matured and she still has so much of this essence of a punk kid" from the first film, and added that the character would have a "cooler" costume in the sequel.[29] The filmmakers intended to have Hildebrand shave her head to indicate that her abilities burned off her hair, but she was unable to do so due to a television series commitment.[30] The film also reveals that Negasonic is in a same-sex relationship, which is the first openly LGBTQ relationship depicted in a Marvel film.[6] When Reynolds asked Hildebrand how she felt about the potential storyline during development, the actress—a member of the LGBTQ community herself—responded positively with the stipulation that the film not make "a big deal" about the relationship.[31] In a statement, GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis praised the relationship as "a milestone in a genre that too often renders LGBTQ people invisible, and should send a message to other studios to follow this example of inclusive and smart storytelling".[32]
  • Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy:
A mutant inmate of the facility where Deadpool and Firefist are imprisoned.[33] He was originally written as a more prominent antagonist, who would have acted as a "devil on Firefist's shoulder", but it was reduced after the writers decided that there were too many antagonists in the story, and that the budget would be better spent on a character such as Juggernaut.[34]

In addition to portraying Deadpool and himself, Reynolds provided the voice for the Juggernaut. Juggernaut is credited as being voiced by "himself", and was previously portrayed by Vinnie Jones in the 2006 film X-Men: The Last Stand. According to Reese, the creative team on Deadpool 2 felt that appearance did not do justice to the character. Wanting an additional villain for the film to support Firefist for the final fight with X-Force, the writers chose Juggernaut because he is "a force of nature [who] was probably the coolest character never to be used ... in the right way".[17] The character's face was modeled on Leitch's, with Reynolds providing facial capture and his voice.[35] The latter was digitally modulated to make it deeper. Reese added that the character "didn't have many lines, he's a man of few words, but he's a man of great anger and forcefulness".[17]

Stefan Kapičić voices Colossus, an X-Man with the mutant ability to transform his entire body into organic steel.[27] Kapičić described Colossus as one of the most important characters in the film, requiring a more intense process for Kapičić during recording for the character. He explained that Colossus would continue to try make Deadpool a better person and potential X-Man after doing so in the first film.[36] Unlike the first film, Kapičić also provided performance capture for the character's face on the sequel, while Andre Tricoteux returned to stand-in for the character on set.[37] Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni also return from the first film as Deadpool's elderly roommate Blind Al and the taxi driver Dopinder, respectively.[38][39] Additionally, Eddie Marsan plays the headmaster of the Essex Home for Mutant Rehabilitation, an orphanage;[40][41] Robert Maillet briefly appears as Sluggo, an inmate of the Ice Box who originally had a more prominent antagonistic role alongside Black Tom before both roles were reduced due to the number of villains in the film;[42][43] Hayley Sales and Islie Hirvonen respectively appear as Cable's wife and Hope, their daughter, during a flashforward;[44] and Shiori Kutsuna portrays Yukio, Negasonic Teenage Warhead's girlfriend and fellow X-Man.[45][46] A version of Yukio previously appeared in the 2013 film The Wolverine, portrayed by Rila Fukushima.[47] The film's version of the X-Force team also includes Terry Crews as Bedlam,[48][4] Lewis Tan as Shatterstar,[22] Bill Skarsgård as Zeitgeist,[49] Rob Delaney as Peter,[4] and Brad Pitt as Vanisher. Pitt was considered for the role of Cable before scheduling issues prevented him from taking it; he filmed his Vanisher cameo in two hours during post-production.[50]

Reprising their roles as the X-Men for a brief cameo are James McAvoy as Professor XNicholas Hoult as BeastEvan Peters as QuicksilverTye Sheridan as CyclopsAlexandra Shipp as Storm, and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.[51][52] Archive footage of Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine from X-Men Origins: Wolverine is used in the mid-credits sequence, with Jackman's permission. This was re-edited for the sequence, and included raw footage shot for that film.[8] Luke Roessler, who portrays a young David Haller in the X-Men based television series Legion, appears as a young mutant credited as "Cereal Kid".[53] When Cable travels to the present day, he comes across two "rednecks" discussing a toilet paper manifesto. This was inspired by a real manifesto written by Reese, which the writers wanted to be discussed in the film by a certain "calibre" of actor: the characters are portrayed by Alan Tudyk and a disguised Matt Damon, with the latter credited as "Dickie Greenleaf" (a reference to the 1999 film The Talented Mr. Ripley in which Damon stars).[50][54] Leitch and writers Reese and Paul Wernick respectively cameo as Ice Box inmate "Ground Chuck Mutant", a news helicopter pilot, and a news cameraman.[50] Stan Lee was unable to cameo in the sequel, as he did in the first film and the short No Good Deed, but his likeness was used for a bust in the X-Mansion and for graffiti on a wall.[55][56]
